I HATED My Job Until I Found This One!

I HATED my job until I found this one!

There I was, taking my daily commute into Denver to the Heating and Air Conditioning shop. I had to drive 10 miles to work and those 10 miles took me an hour and a half on a good day. What a waste! Spend 3 hours of my day going to and from a job that I hated!

I did this day after day after day. Go to the sheet metal shop, bang out ductwork all day long and then come home. Then at the end of the week I would get a teeny tiny paycheck and barely made ends meet.

I had a boss that I absolutely didn’t get along with and a job that was going nowhere. I needed a job that challenged me. The thought of becoming a service technician and working on HVAC units was exciting. I approached the owner of the business and he turned me down flat.

Great….here I am stuck in this sheet metal shop for the rest of my life. Well, I had been in worse situations, so I thought I should stick it out. Besides, I had a family and needed to take care of them.

The days only got longer in the shop. My hopes for a way out moved further from my thoughts. I was beginning to settle into this job and tried to like it. It worked for a while, but the nagging inside returned and would not go away.

Something had to give. I had a great love for the outdoors and wildlife. This passion was more powerful than anything I could ever dream of doing for a career.

As a young man I spent my time hunting and catching animals and as much time in nature as possible. I practically lived in the woods! It was a fantastic hobby for me growing up in rural Indiana. I was about to turn this passion into something that would change my life forever.

Fate decided to intervene.

I received a call from a neighbor that was having a problem with squirrels getting into her attic. I had a live cage so I decided to see if I could help her out. I inspected her house and sure enough the squirrels had taken up residence in the attic. I baited my live cage and asked her to call me when I had a catch.

It wasn’t long before my phone rang with a catch! My first squirrel! I removed the squirrel and reset the trap and caught another one shortly after that.

When I was complete with the removal, she asked me to put a patch over the hole that the squirrel was getting in. I thought “sure, I can do that”.

Then the owner wanted to pay me for what I did. She asked me ”How much do I owe you?” I fiddled around for a minute and thought up an answer of “How about fifty bucks?” She wrote me out a check and I was on my way!

Wow! I just helped somebody out with a wildlife problem and got paid to do it! That is when the idea of a Nuisance Wildlife Management Business was born. I couldn’t believe that I could get paid to catch and remove wildlife!

I began to work this business part-time while I went to work at the job I hated. The hate for the sheet metal shop only got worse with each passing day and I knew I had to get this trapping business off the ground ASAP.

I started to get the word out about my little wildlife business and started getting calls for other types of problem ranging from a raccoon in a fireplace to skunks under porches.

The business grew and before I knew it there were four technicians working for me!

After some thought about how I could help others “who hated their job”, I decided to offer this service as a franchise. Now I could help someone start a business part-time and deliver them from that life of hating their job forever!

There is no sense in being miserable in your work when there are many other things you can do to make a living. Life is just too short to be miserable!

I too was one of those that hated their jobs and I know first-hand how that feels. You might love your job but don’t like the people you work with. It really lands you in the same situation.

Make a change this year that will change your life. You only have one life to live while you are here on earth. Make it your best one!

Is An Animal Damage Control Business Right For You?

Let’s give you a little test shall we?

Can you climb a ladder?

Can you work in attics and crawlspaces?

Can you work with wildlife comfortably?

If you answered those questions with a yes, this career just might be what you are looking for!
Of course there is much more to it than those questions alluded to. But with any career, there is always more than what the classified ad says it is.

A very good sense of organization is one of the most important parts of this career. With many clients to service and things to remember, it is vital to your success that you be very organized. Of course there are many tools out there to help you stay organized such as day planners, computers and software. I suggest using them all!

Generally if you are in reasonably good health, are comfortable working on roofs and in attics and have good organizational skills, you will do fine. To really shine one must also be able to work with people. Wildlife is only part of our job. By knowing how to work with people and understanding their needs, a wildlife professional will be a more rounded individual.

Some other things to consider is training. A good training program is important to give you the knowledge and skills to properly do the work. There are very few schools in the country that can provide training and a supportive environment that will help you achieve your goals. Be wary of the “There will be 50,000 new wildlife jobs created in the next 5 years” sales pitch that they might try on you.

This number of new jobs from people supposedly retiring usually does not come to fruition especially in a downturn economy.

So before you jump out on your own, ask yourself some questions to see if you are ready to become an Animal Damage Control Professional.

Can You Make Money In A Wildlife Franchise?

Will people actually pay you to take a nuisance wildlife pest away? Will they separate themselves from their hard earned money to make their home safe again from unwanted wildlife?

The short answer is YES!

Wildlife management is becoming a very important service in America today. Just look around you. Do you notice the forests and field disappearing and the houses popping up like mushrooms? If it hasn’t happened in your area, it will soon enough.

With all of this constant building, something has to give. It does. It gives in the form of the skunk burrowing under your porch or the raccoon taking up residence in your chimney. The woodpecker is now beating on your cedar siding where once stood a secluded hardwood forest.
Wildlife jobs have never been more important.

With pollution and habitat destruction on the rise with increased human populations, wildlife managers and animal control jobs are in demand as never before.

A wildlife management professional is the one who is called upon to resolve the human/wildlife conflicts when they arise. Sometimes when people and wildlife bump into one another, there is not so good of an outcome! How many snakes have come to an untimely demise when they meet the homeowner with a shovel?

A professional will deal with this type of situation with an approach that is often in the best interest of the homeowner and the animal. With the use of sophisticated tools and technology, today’s wildlife pro will properly and quickly control even the toughest wildlife problems.
By using the right approach and system, one can make a living working with wildlife.

The wildlife field is one of the most fascinating fields you could ever imagine. It is not like working with people every day. Wildlife doesn’t give you any grief. It doesn’t talk back to you or talk behind your back like much of the corporate world. You have to work with wildlife on its terms occasionally, but with the proper training and techniques you will be able to have the wildlife come to your terms.

Wildlife Franchise, Franchise Services Wildlife or Franchise Opportunity Wildlife

Hi, I am Mark E. Dotson founder and CEO of A All Animal Control. We opened our first office in 1995.

After running this business for a few years I realized that I could be helping people make their dreams come true working with wildlife and be handsomely compensated while doing it!

Our country's growth and expansion into urban and suburban areas has created a booming opportunity for us as wildlife managers. Our profession primarily resolves those human/wildlife conflicts through a variety of means.

A lot of what we do is the result of using our training, system and knowledge to perform a complete solution for our clients. Once the source of the conflict has been resolved, we provide light maintenance solutions for the home or building owner to prevent future occurrences.

Our work is fascinating. People often stop us and ask what we do. They are always curious about the projects we are doing or the animals we are working with. People love wildlife and so do we! It is our passion, and to be living your passion is something that is indescribable. We provide a very valuable service to the community and are well respected by those we serve.

When you see the look in your client's eyes after you have resolved a problem that was affecting the quality of their life, you'll understand what I mean.

You too can enjoy providing this service. We have people from all walks of life as franchise owners. Experience is not necessary; we will train you in all aspects of this industry.
They say the road to true wealth is by owning your own business and doing what you love. I would have to agree with that statement whole-heartedly!

There is no greater sense of accomplishment in a career than loving what one does.

If you are currently seeking a Wildlife Franchise, Franchise Services Wildlife or Franchise Opportunity Wildlife, then an exciting career in Wildlife Management could be closer than you think!

Wildlife jobs, Game Warden jobs and Wildlife Biologist jobs are a few of the positions in a wildlife career. Wildlife investigation management technique is also a newer career in wildlife biology. Wildlife ecology and management are other specialized areas that attract qualified people in a wildlife management career.

A career in wildlife can be achieved with a fascinating wildlife technician job. Jobs in the wildlife management field are precious and few and one must quickly act to achieve a career in wildlife management. Animal control jobs and wildlife jobs are no exception.

What does it take to become a Nuisance Wildlife Professional?

It takes someone who has a desire to learn. Someone who possesses discipline, integrity, honesty, some knowledge of wildlife and a general knowledge of home repair. We are not looking for a person who has in depth experience in rebuilding houses, simply the skills to do small repairs. We can teach you the rest!

We attribute our success to the biblical principles on which our business is based. "The biblical laws of honesty, service, unity, reciprocity and responsibility have guided us as we've made those decisions on which our company was built."

A All Animal Control is an organization built on a rock solid foundation of values. The A All Animal Control franchise family attracts solid and talented people, many of faith, who are passionate in their concern for the welfare of other people and wildlife.

If you are serious about pointing your life in a new direction, contact me via e-mail or phone for a confidential interview. We will forward a candidate profile to you to help us determine if you are qualified to join our team of professionals.

Wildlife Franchise - Animal Damage Control Business

Attention, Men and Women Who Love Wildlife!

Have you always wanted to work with wildlife? Are you tired of working for someone else in a dead end job? Do you want to make your own decisions and control your own destiny for a change? How about money…..? Are you making enough or just getting by?

Would you like the opportunity to own your own business that is directly involved with wildlife? This is not a job. It is an opportunity to do something great and become part of the self-employed and enjoy the benefits that go along with it. For example, how would you like to take a vacation when you want to? Work your own schedule instead of someone else’s? Do you want more time and money to spend with family and friends?

A business should not be something that consumes every waking moment of your life. A business should be able to give you more Life, more Freedom and the ability to make your own decisions and control your own destiny.

In today’s fast paced growth of the Nuisance Wildlife Management industry, a lot of people are buying a few cages and jumping into this field only to find one big surprise. There is a lot more to running a business than setting a couple cages and removing a squirrel or two!

You have to be ready to compete with some very good companies in our industry. In today’s marketplace you need an edge.

That is where we come in. A All Animal Control has that edge. We know how to get you started and make you stand out above the rest.

With our system and expertise, you will be able to jumpstart your business and be miles ahead of the competition.
Do you want to join a winning Team? Do you want to get rid of that nagging boss and the co-workers that have been less than “loyal”? Are you tired of the rat race?

Are you a motivated, energetic and sharp individual? Do you have a dependable pick up truck that will get you from client to client?

If you are ready to make that first step to a new way of life, a better way of life, call, write or fax our office today!

The choice is yours. Just how long do you want to work for “the company” and get the same paycheck week after week and “hopefully” the company won’t be out of business or acquired by someone else by the time you retire?

If you are currently in the Nuisance Wildlife Management business, we have a special program for you. We want you to join our team and let us help you reach your full potential! This program waives the fees you would normally pay and gives you full access to our system that will help grow your business!

How To Start A Nuisance Animal Control Business

Just how does one start such a business? There are lots of ways to start a business, but starting this one off on the wrong foot is going to cost you!

A nuisance animal or nuisance wildlife control business is a career that is right for some people and definitely not right for others.

Let’s start out with the job description:

Nuisance Wildlife Control Professional – Resolves nuisance wildlife complaints and prevents future ones. That is the job description in a nutshell albeit a bit oversimplified.
This description does not tell you that you will be climbing ladders, going into attics and crawlspaces and be challenged with wildlife on a daily basis. It goes with the territory.

What about education?

Most people who consider entering this career field have some knowledge of wildlife. They might come from a hunting, trapping or fishing background. This is a helpful because any wildlife knowledge is helpful to the trade.

A college education or a self study program is a leg up on the rest of your competitors.
Education is a great thing and the more you have of it, the better your chances of success will be.
There are very few schools that teach you how to become a Nuisance Wildlife Control Professional. The schools that do exist normally only have a short course and no ongoing support program to ensure your success.

So where does that leave most people? Going it alone. They have to be the pioneer and figure out each step along the way. Make one miss-step and get ready to shell out your hard earned cash to fix that mistake.

Now, back to starting your business.

You must of course obtain business licenses and insurances. If you are going to run this business out of your home, you may need additional homeowners insurance to protect you in the event something happens to your home like a flood or fire.

You will also need training and equipment. Training is important as this is not a business where you can fly by the seat of your pants. Remember that miss-step I was talking about earlier? This is where it will bite you good.

Everyone needs to advertise market and sell their services. With so many marketing messages thrown at consumers each and every second of the day, you have to stay on top of things here. Unfortunately for most new businesses, they are so busy opening their business that they do not spend enough time on this very important part of their start up. Another miss-step.

Nobody ever said it was going to be easy running your own business. It is a challenge, but a challenge that can be a lot of fun if done properly.

If it is your heart’s desire to make it happen, you will do it. With the proper vision, plan, equipment, training and system, you will forge ahead and break new grounds. Without these things in place, it is a recipe for a rough road ahead!

What is an Animal Franchise?

When many people think of an Animal Franchise, it is often a pet related concept that comes to mind.

Indeed there are many of these in existence today, but few know about a relatively new concept in franchising called Nuisance Wildlife Management.

Nuisance Wildlife Management is built around the concept of an Animal Franchise but with a different mission in mind. An Animal Franchise normally focuses on working with domestic animals while a Nuisance Wildlife or Wildlife Pest Control franchise works primarily with..You guessed it..Wildlife!

So, both of these franchises work with animals right? So what is the big difference?
The difference is that the Nuisance Wildlife Management franchise is working to resolve human/wildlife conflicts.

Let’s say that you were experiencing a raccoon getting into your trash cans every night. A professional Nuisance Wildlife Manager is who you would call to help remedy this situation. The professional would suggest ways to keep the raccoon from entering the garbage can or may opt for a different approach and remove the raccoon from the area.

A pet related franchise could consist of an animal feeding concept such as a bird food store or a pet supply store. These concepts are quite popular and have been around for a long time. They have filled a niche which has exploded in recent years with the popularity of feeding wildlife and taking care of pets.

If you are passionate about wildlife, consider a career in a field where you will enjoy your work. The opportunities to succeed in this field will only get better. Visit WildlifeFranchise.com for more information.

Ever thought you could get paid working with wildlife?

I know I never thought I could until I found a career that would not only pay, but pay well.
There are opportunities in the wildlife field such as being a game warden or wildlife rehabilitator. Both of these are unique jobs and both have advantages and disadvantages.
The advantages of these jobs are that you work with wildlife on a daily basis and enjoy your work. The disadvantage is that these jobs are hard to come by and often have a low starting salary.
To find a game warden job one often has to wait for someone to retire in the department and then compete against 600 applicants to get that job. If you really want it bad enough, you can probably get one of those jobs.

There are other opportunities for people who don’t want to wait and be able to call their own shots.
Have you ever heard of a Wildlife Franchise Opportunity? My guess is that you probably have not. This is an exciting new career field that is growing at a steady rate each year.
People who work in a Wildlife Franchise help resolve wildlife conflicts in homes and businesses. Wildlife Professionals are the first line of defense when a wildlife problem arises and are a much needed service in many parts of the country.

With the United States population on the rise, our wildlife is being forced into smaller and smaller habitats. Often the wildlife will be forced to reside in a neighborhood and transition to living in an urban environment. This new habitat is complete with a food supply such as bird seed, dog and cat food and homeowner gardens. Food, water and shelter…what more could you ask for!

The human/wildlife conflicts are only going to be worsening in the future and Wildlife Professionals will be in more demand than ever before. Do you want to “Take a walk on the Wild side?”

Animal Control Franchise

Who ever knew there was such a thing! In fact few people know about this amazing and exciting career field. Of course with more televised coverage of animal shows introducing the public to animal and wildlife control, the popularity of it is on the rise.
Working with wildlife is often a career path that few people explore because they simply do not think the jobs are there. Granted if you want a government job, those are very hard to get. But, there is a different option. You can opt for setting up your own shop and doing the work you have always wanted to do!
Just what am I talking about anyway? Quite simply a need exists for Animal and Wildlife Managers to control human and wildlife conflicts. Sound complicated? It really isn’t. Man has been trying to manage wildlife ever since there was the first conflict with it.
People from all walks of life are enjoying a new career and living their passion working with wildlife. Can you image not living your passion and moving through life just getting by and not enjoying your job?
I sure can identify with that as I did that for many years! Talk about miserable. Life is too short to be miserable.
Some qualifications to work with wildlife include being able to work at heights, work in attics and crawlspaces and be in good physical shape. Most of the work is done at ground level, but occasionally ladders are used.
So, what are you waiting for? Are you living your passion and working with wildlife every day? Visit this website for a FREE Report: WildlifeFranchise.com

They laughed at me when I told them I was going to be a Wildlife Management Pro!

They not only laughed, the last day on the job they brought in some "going away presents". They outfitted me with a set of toy cap pistols and holsters along with a cowboy hat and a sign that said "Round em up, Cowboy!"

I was the butt of the jokes at the office. They all thought I was nuts! I was leaving a nice paying job with great benefits and lots of growth opportunities. They all thought I was going to fall flat on my face and come running back to work.

I am not one to want to prove someone wrong, but my future and meteoric growth was sure going to do that for me!

It was not fun being laughed at and it did hurt my "man pride" a little. But I had confidence and believed I was going to be successful some day. The ordinary road in life was not the road I wanted to go down.

There was a new future that awaited me and I was going it alone. It seemed a bit scary at first, but I knew that this was my destiny. Ever since I was a boy, wildlife had been my passion in life and it was going to take me to places I had never been before. Some places were a bit "over the edge", but I was not going to let fear paralyze me, I was going to let faith mobilize me!

After several successful attempts of growing the business, I finally found the magic that made the business sing. It was not only singing, but it started pouring in the money. A tweak here and a tweak there and pretty soon I had an amazing system of doing business.

I left my competitors sitting in the dust in a very short period of time. Here was a guy (me) who had no college degree, no formal marketing or sales training and one big chip on his shoulder. The chip? The chip was that I was going to make this happen even if I fell down many times. I was always going to get up!

Laugh at me all you want, it wasn't going to stop me. And it didn't. Many people thought of my job as something funny. Well if I would have showed them my bank statement, they would not find anything funny about that. Maybe what would have been funny was that I was making more money than they were!

It wasn't only about the money; it was about the fun. Having fun and making money is incredible! I honestly didn't think that was possible. After all of the jobs I worked at in my life, I thought that was far from possible! I didn't have to worry about living paycheck to paycheck anymore.

Working in the wildlife business opened so many doors for me and created opportunities that I never knew existed. By creating the systems and strategies to make the business successful, it allowed the money to be generated that would allow me to have a new life. A life with money and time! I didn't have to be a slave to a business. I had a money making machine that I simply managed.

It was some work getting it going, but once I was running and operational, it was smooth sailing most of the time. Our system takes a LOT of the work out of it now!

What an amazing thing to build and watch grow. The odds were stacked up against me big time but I rose above all of that and created an awesome company.

Maybe you have always wanted to work with wildlife but could not find the right opportunity. It was never the right time or you didn't have the money to start your own business, but now the time is right and you are ready to begin the journey of a lifetime!

There is no better time to start something than right now. You could wait for everything to be just right, but nothing in life will ever be exactly right. The time is now and you take one step to guide you in the right direction. A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

A Wildlife Expert at A All Animal Control will guide you through your training and equip, coach and support you while you build the business of your dreams. This is the opportunity you have waited a lifetime for. Reach out and grab hold of your dreams and let us turn them into a reality for you.

You want a career in wildlife management but don't know where to find one?

With wildlife management being such a large field, it can be confusing to someone who is just starting out or has little experience in this area.

A good question to ask yourself is what it is that you would like to do? Do you want to be a researcher, a field biologist or educator etc.?

Once you have that question answered, it will help you become clear about what it is that you truly want to do.

There is a newer field you may not have heard about. It is the field of Nuisance Wildlife Management. This field controls damage caused by wildlife and works primarily with human/wildlife conflicts. This is an exciting and very rewarding career path. To learn more about this field, visit Career in Wildlife Management
